  • The Ratae Run is not a race. You or a member of your party driving the vehicle will need a valid full UK driving licence. The driver must drive the vehicle with due care and attention with consideration for all road users and within the law at all times. It is your responsibility to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy which includes having valid adequate insurance cover, tax and MOT (at your cost).
  • You must observe the directions given by the Marshalls (wearing hi-viz) including the directions for parking at the start, all checkpoints, all coffee stops and finish (“designated points”). If you need to stop or park anywhere besides the designated points, it is your responsibility to do so safely without compromising your or your party’s health and safety, those of other participants, road users or members of the public.
  • Certain sections of the route may cross open farmland, please follow the applicable countryside code; please do not drive off the road unless you absolutely have to. All participants must conduct themselves responsibly at all times including taking care in the disposal of any waste or rubbish in an appropriate manner, not trespassing on private land, or causing or creating any nuisance. You may only dispose of waste or rubbish in designated bins or take your waste or rubbish home with you.
  • You and your party take part in the event entirely at your own risk and will not hold the South Leicester MG Club, its Committee, members, Marshalls, sponsors or any members of the organizing committee liable or responsible for any fines, penalty, claim, damage or liability to you or your party, members of the public or land owners may suffer or incur including damage to the vehicle, any other vehicle or any other property howsoever caused including nuisance, trespass or other claims, damages or liabilities that may arise therefrom. You and your party shall be fully responsible for and will not hold the South Leicester MG Club, its Committee, members, Marshalls, sponsors or any members of the organizing committee liable for any death, personal injury or damage to property to the fullest extent allowed by the law and will fully indemnify the South Leicester MG Club, its Committee, members, Marshalls, sponsors or any members of the organizing committee from such claims, damages or liabilities in connection with or arising from any of your or your party’s act, omission or default from your participation in the event.
  • The South Leicester MG Club, its Committee, members, Marshalls, sponsors or any members of the organizing committee, shall not be liable to you or any participant for any claim, damage or liability, whether in contract, tort (including negligence, nuisance or trespass), for breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, arising under or in connection with these rules and regulations or to the event for loss of earnings, income, profits, sales or business, contracts, savings and any indirect or consequential loss, including any such claim, damage or liability from any third party.
  • By entering into this event you and your party consent to the taking of photographs and the reasonable use by including the promotion of the South Leicester MG Club.
  • Anyone under 18 years of age will require the consent of a parent/or legal guardian to participate in the Ratae Run OR To participate in Ratae Run you must be over 18 years of age.
  • These rules and regulations and any disagreement, dispute or claims arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed under the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over them.
  • By entering the Ratae Run you agree for us to send you information via email and/or post concerning the Ratae Run and future Ratae Run events. We do not pass on any of your details to third parties. You can request removal form the Ratae Run list by contacting us.
  • No refunds will be given within the last 28 days of the event. SLMG has to confirm and pay for food, parking, event entrance, etc 28 days before the date of the event.
  • Entry will close 7 days before the event date.
